As we fast approach the big day, many of you will no doubt be firing up the groups chats to have one last big night out around town. Well, if you’re looking for the perfect setting, TinselTown is providing you with all the festive music, drinks and bar games you could wish for!
Pop-up bars aren’t an uncommon thing these days, with many appearing across the UK for customers to revel in their novelty. As Barnsley continues its regeneration into one of Yorkshire’s must-visit locations for food, drink and retail, the team behind TinselTown have brought that same novelty to Peel Street for Christmas 2022.
Christmas markets and pop-up Bierkellers go hand-in-hand. The wooden fish, the dark tones, the Bavarian music, we’ve all been there and done it. TinselTown is not that. If you pictured what the North Pole would be like if the elves got a construction team in to create a bar, then you have TinselTown! The bright colours, the glitter, the sparkles, the Christmas belters we all know and love all make up the atmosphere of this new festive hotspot.
As soon as you walk through the doors, you are greeted with an explosion of Christmas joy through festive props, decorations and dangling fairy lights. Heading to the bar, you have a choice between a range of beers, lagers and ciders, or their festive drinks and spirits collection. It’s also an Instagram lovers dream, which plenty of spaces for selfies and group photos around and under their Christmas themed neon signs!
TinselTown have also gone that one step further by redeveloping the buildings old veranda and opening it as the bars very own ‘Aprés Ski Terrace’, which includes open fires to help keep you warm across the chilly, Christmas period.
With plenty of seating and bar games (including beer pong tables) TinselTown is the perfect place to base your night out on the run-up to Christmas. But you better be quick, as with all pop-up bars, good things must to come to an end. TinselTown will close its doors on New Years Day, but we’ve got a sneaky feeling it won’t be the last time you see them bring their love of Christmas to Barnsley!
