THIS WEEKEND // It’s time for Wortley Beer Festival 2023! 🍻

The village of Wortley, just outside Barnsley, is about to come alive with beer enthusiasts as it hosts its eagerly awaited Wortley Beer Festival this weekend at Wortley Mens Club.

With an exciting lineup of activities, delectable beverages, and live music, this three-day extravaganza promises to be an event to remember this summer!

The Wortley Beer Festival will kick off on Friday and run through the entire weekend, offering visitors an excellent opportunity to unwind after a weeks worth of graft.

If you’re passion about your real ales then you’re in for a treat, as the festival boasts an impressive selection of 65 cask beers, showcasing both locally brewed gems and offerings from renowned breweries around the country. From refreshing lagers to rich stouts, the variety of beers ensures there's something to delight every palate.

In addition to the vast array of beers, the festival also presents 30 scrumpy ciders for those seeking a tangy twist to their drinking experience.

The cider selection ranges from traditional apple ciders to innovative fruit-infused concoctions for those with a sweeter tooth.

While beer and cider take center stage, gin lovers will not be left behind. The Wortley Beer Festival boasts a dedicated gin bar, showcasing an assortment of premium gins and tonic pairings that will undoubtedly delight gin connoisseurs.

The Wortley Arms will be providing the food stalls for the event

The Wortley Beer Festival is a true celebration of community, and organizers have made sure there's something for everyone. Families with young ones will appreciate the thoughtfully planned kids' zone, where children can partake in various fun activities, ensuring they remain entertained while their parents enjoy the drinks on offer.

Music will also be an integral part of the festival, with live performances scheduled every day.

The Wortley Beer Festival is more than just a celebration of beverage; it also serves a noble purpose. The event is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Barnsley Hospice, an essential service  that provides compassionate end-of-life care to those in need.

To make the festival as inclusive as possible, the organisers have decided to offer FREE admission to all attendees.

So, whether you're a beer enthusiast looking to discover new favorites, a gin admirer seeking unique blends, a music lover ready to dance, or a family searching for a fun-filled day out, the Wortley Beer Festival is the perfect place to be this weekend!
