From Bottomless Pizza to live music, here’s a few things that’s going off in Barnsley this month!


The sun has got his hat on, the sell of freshly cut grass is filling the Barnsley atmosphere, and there’s a bag full of things happening across the borough this month that need your urgent attention. As weekends become more about socialising than staying in, we’ve scouted a few things that you may want to add to the June section of your calendar.




Botanist Bingo

Wednesday, 7th of June


The first Wednesday of every month is Botanist Bingo at the newly opened venue in the town centre. With three chances to win, they are offering you a plethora of great prizes, all to the backdrop of their live musician . Barnsley Live

Saturday, 17th of June


This is without a doubt one of the biggest events on the Barnsley calendar! The multi-venue music festival makes return mid-June, and will one again provide a stunning platform for local musicians. Historically an indoor event across 22 bars within the town centre, the recent introduction of The Glass Works stage means that during the summer this free event is the perfect place to enjoy a drink in the sunshine!




Suppa Club Food Festival

Friday & Saturday, 23rd & 24th of June


It’s become an absolute staple for foodies across the town, and with temperatures creeping up, the sweet and savoury smells of Suppa Club are making it a great base for an afternoon out this month. June’s incarnation of the event sees artistan pizzas, burgers, steaks, loaded fries join the menu, complimented with a side order of Live Music and real ales. Like always, the festival is free to enter in The Iron Works at Elsecar Heritage Centre.




Pizza Bottomless Brunch, Shambles Street

Every Saturday


Back by popular demand, Shambles Street have reignited the pizza oven for their bottomless pizza brunch! Taking place every Saturday, the venue are offering you 90 minutes to feast on cocktails and pizza. With a price of £30pp, you can choose from a variety of drinks to kickstart your weekend including Prosecco, martinis, gins and lagers! Nailmaker Brewing Co Tap & Shop, Darton

Live Music and Food (throughout June)


The local brewers have become a staple for real ale lovers across the borough, and with 21 beers available, their Darton venue has also become a great supporter of local musicians who use the location as a platform to share their talent. Throughout  the month of June, each Saturday brings you great music, plus fresh food including Mexican Mare (10th of June) Fish and Chips (17th of June) and Krazy Spuds (24th of June)
