As the town continues to evolve its drink and music scene with a host of fresh pubs and restaurants, Eaden’s Bar is the new kid on the block hoping to draw you in with their indie-bangers playlist, fresh interior and instagramable neon signs!
Born from the former Temple of Muses pub on Graham’s Orchard, Eaden’s Bar is brought to you by Mia and Nicky Eaden, the former being Barnsley’s former promotion winning right-back.
The team behind the refurb have ensured that the character of the building remains with exposed brickwork just behind their main bar on the ground floor, whilst adding a bright feel to the venue that has totally enlarged the downstairs.
It’s now official, everyone loves a venue with a terrace, and the new bar is giving you that luxury via the doors in their upstairs room. With outdoor seating provided, the town hall makes a cheeky appearance through the orange brick of neighbouring buildings - a scene synonymous with the backstreets of our historic town.
Despite the clear objective to freshen up the inside, there’s a wonderful nostalgic feel thanks to Nicky’s framed Barnsley shirts, and we absolutely adore the “rat run” at the back of the bar near the toilets which lands you on the back-doorstep of the Old Number 7. A welcomed throwback to a bygone pub crawl era.
Eaden’s bar is not indentifying itself as a sports hangout, but with their mounted TV’s across the ground floor (all playing Sky Sports and World Cup games) plus their projector screen, it will no doubt become a home for many over the next month-or-so as the three lions head to Qatar.
As we all know by now it’s easy to get lured in with neon signs presented on a background of green foliage, and these guys have got two of the beauties at Eaden’s - so make sure you grab a group photo and tag them in it on the socials.
With live music planned across most weekends, their 2 for £10 cocktails deals across Thursday and Fridays, and their secondary bar upstairs perfect for a quiet get together with the mates, Eaden’s no doubt has a lot to offer a town determined to carve out a fresh option for a night out in Yorkshire.
