The Barnsley Book Festival is set to enchant book lovers from Saturday, 15 February to Saturday, 8 March, showcasing a vibrant array of literary events across the borough.

This year’s festival promises to be even more exciting than the last, featuring appearances from renowned authors such as Michael Rosen and Milly Johnson, who will share their insights and stories with attendees.
The festival is designed to engage readers of all ages, with a diverse program that includes workshops, activities, and family-friendly events during the half-term break. These activities aim to spark creativity and foster a love for reading among younger audiences, ensuring that the joy of literature is accessible to everyone.

Among the highlights of the festival are captivating talks by acclaimed authors. Catherine Barr will delve into the intriguing story of wolves in Yellowstone Park, while Rosie Garland will introduce her spellbinding new short story collection, ‘Your Sons and Your Daughters Are Beyond.’
Wildlife presenter Ajay Tegala will also share his experiences as a ranger in the UK, providing a unique perspective on nature and storytelling. The event will also welcome is children’s author Micheal Rosen to the event who will be hosting a family performance as well as book signings!

Most events at the Barnsley Book Festival are free, but attendees are encouraged to book in advance to manage audience numbers effectively.
