Celebrating National Burger Day 2022 - A Handful of Barnsley Burger Joints You Should Try!

So, it’s National Burger Day 2022, and at Best of Barnsley we have been tasting what’s on offer in our town. Now as you can imagine, we haven’t had time to try all of the burgers in the local area, but here a few places that you might want to give a try to celebrate one of the most loved food choices ever created!

Jammed Burger

A Mapplewell artisan burger business born out of lockdown 2020, these guys don’t do things by halves! Double and tripper burgers are the absolute standard at Jammed, with their Hoisin or Bacon fries both outstanding accompaniments to any of the burgers on their menu. Jammed Burger offer a selection of vegan and vegetarian burger options again absolutely packed with flavour. Burger and loaded fries not enough? Why not add some sides to fill you right up? Halloumi fries, chicken tenders, homemade coleslaw or even one of their mouth mouthwatering brownies have all become firm favourites!

Again, another local gourmet burger place which is big on going BIG, you need to stick them on your eat-out bucket list! Just like Jammed, they have vegan and vegetarian options, plus have loaded fries which come in both single and sharing sizes. If you’re thinking of treating the other half, why not go “beast mode” and get 2 x Signature Burgers, A Loaded Sharer Fries, A Side Order, 2 x Large Shakes AND An XL Boujee Brownie for £40.

Combining fresh and tasty ingredients, Cow and Cream also offer build your own deserts, providing you a limitless amount of cheesecake, pancakes, waffles, cookie dough, brownies, gelato ice cream and sauces. Once again, they are sorting you out with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring everyone in the family are happy!

SmashBaby

Like all of the above, SmashBaby are super passionate about providing you with quality burgers which make you come back for more! If the title doesn’t already give it away, SmashBaby specialise in ‘smash burgers’, ensuring you won’t feel too greedy by adding two or three patties to your order. That crusty edge you get with a smash patty adds incredible flavour, and with it’s tightly packed, Fives Guys presentation, there’s no fear of losing any of those fresh toppings after each bite. If you fancy adding some sides to your order, we recommend  their West Coast Chicken strips or East Coast Mini Fillets; packed full of flavour once they’ve been tossed in your choice of sauces.
